Applications for National rounds are open till June 30th
April 14, 2025 - June 30,2025
You can apply directly to the national round of WSA and compete for one of the eight nominations to the Global round for your country. WSA works with a network of local partners (WSA National Experts) who are well-connected in the local start up and social impact ecosystem. To be considered, head to the WSA Application portal (the Contest Database), register, fill out the application and keep your fingers crossed!
Nomination Phase
July 2025 - August 2025
In this period, National Experts select the top eight solutions from the application pool and nominate them for the WSA Global round. Only nominated solutions continue to the Jury phase.
Jury Phase
October 2025 - January 2026
During this stage, the solutions will be scrutinised by a panel of jurors. The jury will be divided into two phases.
- Online Jury: during the Online Jury, WSA's network of jurors will evaluate all the solutions to narrow them down to the shortlist
- Grand Jury: during the Grand Jury, the final winners will be selected from the shortlist

January 2026
The most exciting time of the WSA cycle is here - announcing the 40 WSA winners for 2025! All winning teams get into the spotlight of all our communications channels - including social media, our website, and a newsletter that goes to 12 000 members of the WSA Network.
Global Congress
April 2026 - May 2026
The WSA Global Congress is an annual event that is designed around the winning teams. They get to meet fellow social impact entrepreneurs, category experts, angel investors, and the greater WSA community. The three day Congress is filled with inspirational talks, interactive discussions, and hands-on workshops.
Please note: Regarding timeline of application and submission of projects to the WSA
- Taking part in the WSA is eligible by being nominated by a WSA national expert.
- The WSA national experts select in a democratic process which solutions will be nominated for each respective WSA category.
- Deadlines for national submission of application for WSA may vary locally. National deadlines can be earlier than the communicated international WSA call deadline.
- Registration, including submitting project information, must be completed online via the WSA Contest Database in coordination with the communicated international WSA call deadline.
